intrinsics are unlikely to ever be stabilized, instead they should be used through stabilized interfaces in the rest of the standard library

Bitwise or with the current value, returning the previous value.

The stabilized version of this intrinsic is available on the atomic types via the fetch_or method by passing Ordering::Acquire as the order. For example, AtomicBool::fetch_or.
