intrinsics are unlikely to ever be stabilized, instead they should be used through stabilized interfaces in the rest of the standard library

Bitwise and with the current value, returning the previous value.

The stabilized version of this intrinsic is available on the atomic types via the fetch_and method by passing Ordering::Release as the order. For example, AtomicBool::fetch_and.
