cisco.iosxr.iosxr_user – Manage the aggregate of local users on Cisco IOS XR device
Note
This plugin is part of the cisco.iosxr collection (version 2.5.0).
You might already have this collection installed if you are using the ansible
package. It is not included in ansible-core
. To check whether it is installed, run ansible-galaxy collection list
.
To install it, use: ansible-galaxy collection install cisco.iosxr
.
To use it in a playbook, specify: cisco.iosxr.iosxr_user
.

Synopsis
- This module provides declarative management of the local usernames configured on network devices. It allows playbooks to manage either individual usernames or the aggregate of usernames in the current running config. It also supports purging usernames from the configuration that are not explicitly defined.
Note
This module has a corresponding action plugin.
Requirements
The below requirements are needed on the host that executes this module.
- ncclient >= 0.5.3 when using netconf
- lxml >= 4.1.1 when using netconf
- base64 when using public_key_contents or public_key
- paramiko when using public_key_contents or public_key

timeout integer | Specifies the timeout in seconds for communicating with the network device for either connecting or sending commands. If the timeout is exceeded before the operation is completed, the module will error. | ||
