Parameters summary

`string`	`$haystack`	The string being checked.
`string`	`$needle`	The string being found.
`string`	`$encoding = null`	Character encoding name to use. If it is omitted, internal character encoding is used.

Returns

integer The number of times the $needle substring occurs in the $haystack string.
