ValueProvider

interface

npm Package @angular/core
Module import { ValueProvider } from '@angular/core';
Source core/src/di/provider.ts

Configures the Injector to return a value for a token.

Interface Overview

interface ValueProvider {
  provide: any
  useValue: any
  multi?: boolean
}

How To Use

const provider: ValueProvider = {provide: 'someToken', useValue: 'someValue'};

Description

For more details, see the "Dependency Injection Guide".

Example

const injector = Injector.create([{provide: String, useValue: 'Hello'}]);

expect(injector.get(String)).toEqual('Hello');

Members

provide: any

An injection token. (Typically an instance of Type or InjectionToken, but can be any).

useValue: any

The value to inject.

multi?: boolean

If true, then injector returns an array of instances. This is useful to allow multiple providers spread across many files to provide configuration information to a common token.

Example

const locale = new InjectionToken<string[]>('locale');
const injector = Injector.create([
  {provide: locale, multi: true, useValue: 'en'},
  {provide: locale, multi: true, useValue: 'sk'},
]);

const locales: string[] = injector.get(locale);
expect(locales).toEqual(['en', 'sk']);
